Painting and Firing

Course Length : 4 weeks, 2 hours per week, Saturday morning , 10 to 12

Students are shown and guided through traditional techniques of painting and firing glass. These include tracing, matting, stippling, scrub techniques and firing. Use of vitreous paints, stainer's color, enamels, and silver stains are covered, along with mediums. Required painting kit

Sandblasting

Course Length : 4 weeks, 2 hours per week, Saturday morning , 10 to 12

A course covering all the basic techniques for etching and carving on glass. we learn about types of stencils for single stage blast (frost). Each student will make one piece to take home. we learn about multi-stage carving. “Homework” between classes will be to prepare stencil for carving. All materials included
